Removable Braces

“Invisible Braces”

For many patients, the Invisalign System® lets you smile your way through the entire treatment process! It was one of the first “invisible” orthodontic technologies, and Dr. Kadar was personally trained to use it by his predecessor, Dr. Jack Donley, who began using the technique in the 1980s.

Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom molded plastic aligners to gently and gradually move your teeth into the correct position. It’s especially good for overcrowded or widely spaced teeth. The treatment can last over one year; however, the aligners are removable, so you can take them out for a special event or a special gooey snack.

Our Invisalign patients don’t have to dread gagging on a goopy impression thanks to our Digital Scanner!  This new technology has improved the entire process for our patients!  The digital scanner offers a more accurate record than traditional impressions which can be transferred electronically directly to Invisalign.  This allows for enhanced and efficient communication between the doctor and the fabricators.  Many of our Invisalign patients are in their first aligner within 2-3 weeks of their scan!  We are proud to be the only Invisalign provider in our area using this cutting edge technology!

Invisalign is a great way to discreetly move your teeth and is one of our more popular and asked – for treatments.  Dr. Kadar is a Premier Preferred Invisalign Provider and has fitted hundreds of patients with these: “Invisible braces.” Call us to see if Invisalign is right for you!

Technology in Action

Orthodontic technology has evolved. The braces patients now wear on their teeth are more comfortable, efficient and discreet. Dr. Tom Kadar, a certified Damon System™ orthodontist, likes to use this system because it eliminates the need for elastic ties (the colored ties you see on traditional braces), so there’s less friction and pressure. In addition, special “memory” wires require fewer adjustments with less visits during the year. “By using gentler, more biologically sensible forces than conventional braces, the Damon System assures better tooth position and improved facial harmony,” Kadar said.

Although 70 percent of Kadar Orthodontics’ patients are adolescents, the practice also treats many adult patients. Kadar Orthodontics has several options for adults who have always wanted a straighter smile but are not so keen on wearing traditional braces. Invisalign® is a popular treatment alternative for both teens and adults. These nearly-invisible clear aligners gently and gradually move teeth into the correct position … a great option for anyone who is worried about how braces will look.

With the recent move to their new location, Kadar Orthodontics was able to expand their in-house lab to enable them to produce clear aligners and retainers onsite. This saves time, allowing Dr. Kadar to quickly create customized appliances throughout the treatment process.

A key component in their new lab is the Juell 3D printer, which takes digital imaging to the next level by revolutionizing the way images are captured and used. In the past, if a model was broken or a patient lost their retainer, the patient would have to come back in for another goopy impression. The 3D printer can print a new model and retainer from a saved digital image more precisely and quicker than old-style plaster molds.

Advanced diagnostic equipment, including a 3D cone beam X-ray, digital x-ray and CT-scanner, was also added to the in-house technology offerings. This new equipment will enable Kadar Orthodontics to treat more complicated problems like airway obstructions, TMJ disorders and impactions in-house.
