Hannah’s Story

Hannah was referred to our office at age eight because of a development and functional problem. Hannah had a crossbite. This means her upper jaw was too small to allow the lower jaw to fit inside it when she would bite down. This problem can be solved by using an expander, but in her case, we used the Damon system with light elastics to correct the bite and allow for proper growth. We kept the braces on longer to ensure the remaining adult teeth would have enough room to properly erupt.
